Our award-winning Jets Wrestling Program is a three-season program for boys and girls that meets in the Fall, Winter, and Spring. Our junior and high school wrestlers also compete in local, regional, and national tournaments.

This program holds practice after school every Monday and Thursday, and also on Saturday mornings, at the Mott Middle School Gym in north Harlem. Each year, this program typically enrolls 30 to 50 students ages 6 to 18 from Harlem, Upper Manhattan and the South Bronx.

CO-Founder, Jets Wrestling

“Wrestlers develop athletic skills including strength and endurance while learning about individual commitment and accountability. Wrestlers learn to succeed both as individuals and as team members.”

Our kids win awards. In December 2025, our junior wrestlers (below) won “best team” honors in NYC’s Beat the Streets Wrestling League tournament. A Jets wrestler also picked up best wrestler honors, defeating more than a dozen NYC and New Jersey rivals.

Our wrestling program is a three-season program that competes in local and regional tournaments. Fall season runs from October through December; winter season runs from January through March, and spring season starts in April and runs through the end of the school year in June. The wrestling program does not train during the summer. Wrestlers may join for all seasons, any season or part of any season.

Absolutely! Girls are definitely welcome and we encourage them to sign up. Girls wrestling is surging in popularity in Harlem and nationwide.

All are required to carry a USA Wrestling card and have USA Wrestling SafeSport certification, as well as First Aid and CPR training, and concussion protocol training.

Practice is held after school every Monday and Thursday, and also on Saturday mornings, at the Mott Middle School Gym on Edgecomb Avenue, just north of 135th Street.

Each year, the program enrolls students ages 6 to 18 from Harlem, Upper Manhattan and the South Bronx. Registration is $150 per season and requires proof of identity, a birth certificate, a recent doctor’s physical and a report card.

Harlem Jets Wrestlers participate in Friday night and weekend tournaments in the Beat The Streets league, which take place in NYC. This past year, our Jets wrestlers have also competed in tournaments on Long Island, in Delaware, Virginia Beach, New Jersey, and in the New York State Championships.
