Our History
For 20 years and counting, the Harlem Jets have been a cornerstone of youth development in our community. Since our founding, we have proudly served over 5,000 young athletes, providing opportunities for personal growth, athletic excellence, and academic achievement.
Our commitment to mentorship and development has helped thousands of athletes attend prestigious high schools, including Cardinal Hayes High School, Archbishop Stepinac High School, Iona Prep, Bergen Catholic, and Don Bosco Prep, among others.
The Harlem Jets legacy extends beyond high school, with many former players excelling at the collegiate level. Notable alumni include:
Ajani Cornelius – University of Oregon
Justin Joly – North Carolina State University
Rahmir Johnson – University of Nebraska
Jourdin Houston – Rutgers University
Miles Mitchell – Monmouth University
Our impact reaches the highest levels of the sport, with two Harlem Jets alumni now playing in the NFL:
Sanoussi Kane – Purdue University graduate and current Safety for the Baltimore Ravens
Elijah Jones – Boston College graduate and current Cornerback for the Arizona Cardinals
But the Harlem Jets are about more than just football. We’ve built a community-based sports and mentoring model that supports young people within the context of their families and cultures. Our athletes are guided by values of discipline, responsibility, teamwork, communication, and ambition — principles that prepare them for success in the classroom, on the field, in the workforce, and throughout life.
As we celebrate our 20th anniversary, we are proud of our history and excited for the future. The Harlem Jets remain committed to nurturing the next generation of leaders, athletes, and changemakers.
Here’s to 20 years of excellence — and many more to come!
