At Harlem Jets Sports and Development, our mission is to empower the Harlem community by leveraging the unifying power of sports to foster academic success and personal development for two generations. With a focus on ninth-grade students, we recognize that this critical transitional period can significantly impact high school graduation rates. Through our innovative sports programs and mentorship initiatives, we aim to cultivate a supportive environment that nurtures not only athletic skills but also academic excellence, resilience, and life skills. By instilling a sense of belonging and purpose within our youth, we strive to create a pathway towards successful high school graduation, opening doors to a brighter future and empowering the next generation of Harlem's leaders. Together, we envision a thriving community where sports become a catalyst for positive change and opportunities for all.

Harlem Jets envisions a thriving community where youth K – 8th grade are equipped to enter into High school strong academically, emotionally and socially. Simultaneously providing their families with the tools they need to help youth thrive academically, breaking barriers, unlocking a child’s full potential to create a promising future

Our History
Harlem Jets has experienced seventeen years of success building a community-based sports and mentoring model that supports young people and considers them in the context of their families and cultures.
In 17 years over 7,000 youth have been supported in values related to discipline, responsibility, teamwork, communication, and ambition that prepare them for the workforce and life.
The Harlem Jets aim to improve the socio-economic and wellbeing of youth and children who live in Harlem.

Using sports, mentorship, and community, we aim to increase school enrollment and retention for youth - especially those who walk through many barriers to adulthood.
The Harlem Jets believe that there are capable people, youth, and children in Harlem and surrounding boroughs who have the potential to create a better life for themselves.
Harlem Jets Inc. envisions a New York City where black and brown youth are equipped and empowered to define their own purpose and path, and where the community supports positive and equitable youth outcomes.
How Can you Help
Harlem Jets Accomplice Program is a community of monthly supporters committed to being more than a Ally unlocking access to educational support , social and emotional learning and transformative experiences through sports, caring adults and family education.

10 dollars a month will cover the cost of reading assessments and parent training for 1 student athlete.

25 dollars a month will remove financial barriers for 2 youth to sports and development participation, Protecting childhood for youth in Harlem

100 dollars a month will provide 8 families child advocacy programming and activities supporting school success and greater opportunity to life long success and self sufficiency.
